North Braddock calls itself the birthplace of steel

The borough was organised out of Braddock Township in 1897 and bases its claim on the Edgar Thomson Steel Works, which opened on its riverfront in 1875. The ground where General Braddock's column was destroyed in 1755 also lies inside its limits. The 2020 census counted 4,320 residents.
