Munhall, the borough that held most of the Homestead Works
1901
Munhall, Pennsylvania
A large part of Carnegie Steel's Homestead Works sat inside Munhall rather than Homestead, which is why the Carnegie library and the Byzantine cathedral both stand on this side of the line. The borough runs along the west bank of the Monongahela and shares the Steel Valley School District with Homestead and West Homestead. Its population was 10,774 at the 2020 census.
That was 1 of the hidden places.
