Yankee Stadium, the house that Ruth built
1923
161st Street and River Avenue, the Bronx

The original stadium opened across the street on 18 April 1923, the first ballpark in the country with three tiers, and Babe Ruth hit the first home run in it that afternoon. The sportswriter Fred Lieb called it the house that Ruth built and the name stuck. The Yankees played there until 2008 and moved into the current building, a block north, in 2009.
That was 1 of the hidden places.
