League Park, where Ruth hit his 500th and a man made an unassisted triple play
1891

Built of wood in 1891 at East 66th and Lexington and rebuilt in concrete and steel in 1910, League Park was home to the Cleveland Spiders and then the Indians. Bill Wambsganss turned the only unassisted triple play in World Series history here in October 1920, and Babe Ruth hit his 500th home run over the short right field wall in August 1929. The Cleveland Buckeyes of the Negro American League played here too. Part of the grandstand wall and the ticket house are still standing.
That was 1 of the hidden places.
