The congregation put this building up between 1896 and 1897, in the years Passaic was filling with mill families and turning into a national centre of woolen manufacturing. It joined the National Register in 1982, cited not only for its architecture but for what the parish did in education and religion in a city of immigrant workers. It is still an active Lutheran congregation.
That was 1 of the hidden places.
