Bethlehem built this yard on the Weymouth Back River in 1941 and ran it from the Fore River yard up the coast. In three and a half years it delivered 277 ships, and at its fastest it handed over a destroyer escort 23 days after laying the keel. It shut down in 1945.
That was 1 of the hidden places.
