1981
Mesa, Arizona
Public domain · Wikimedia Commons
Doug Champlin gathered a collection of First and Second World War fighters that could still fly and put them on show at Falcon Field in Mesa. The museum ran for twenty two years and closed in May 2003. The aircraft went north to the Museum of Flight at Boeing Field in Seattle, which is where most of them remain.
That was 1 of the hidden places.
