This brick and brownstone terminal opened in 1889 with a train shed reaching over twenty tracks and ferry slips on the harbour side. Ellis Island was a mile away, and something like a third of the people processed there walked off a ferry into this building and boarded a train west the same day. The last train left in 1967 and the shed and the ferry house are still standing inside Liberty State Park.
That was 1 of the hidden places.
