Alexandria Union Station, a one-storey brick terminal still in use

The passenger terminal finished in 1905 is still the working station, which is rare for a building of its age on a busy main line. Amtrak long distance trains and Virginia Railway Express commuter services both call here under the code ALX. The trolley lines that once fed it built the Rosemont neighbourhood next door.
That was 1 of the hidden places.
