Seagoville grew out of the one store T. K. Seago built in 1876
1876
Seagoville, Texas
T. K. Seago cleared heavy timber southeast of Dallas and opened a general store with roughly two hundred dollars of dry goods in 1876, and the settlement that gathered around it took his name. The Texas Trunk Railroad arrived in 1881 and the place began shipping cotton and alfalfa. The post office added the extra syllable in 1910 so the mail would stop confusing Seago with a Texas town called Sego.
That was 1 of the hidden places.
