Clodine is founded as a rail stop and named for Clodine King of Houston
1888
Clodine, Fort Bend County, Texas
The San Antonio and Aransas Pass Railway put a station here around 1888, and a railroad official is said to have named it for a Houston woman called Clodine King. A post office arrived in 1893, and by 1896 the stop had a general store, a Baptist church and fifty people. The Texas and New Orleans Railroad bought the line in 1934 and pulled out the depot and section houses, leaving a shipping point for surrounding farms and, by 1947, the Clodine oilfield.
That was 1 of the hidden places.
