Naranja was a railroad town named for its orange groves
1904
Naranja, Florida
Henry Flagler's Florida East Coast Railway put a stop here in 1904 and the settlement took the Spanish word for orange, after the groves that filled the area and shipped north on that line. Local pronunciation flattened it to Na-Ran-Jah. The groves are long gone and the census place counted 13,509 people in 2020, up from 8,303 ten years earlier.
That was 1 of the hidden places.
