The Hohokam built and occupied this adobe mound between about AD 1100 and 1400, at the head of a canal system that watered the whole valley. It is one of only two of their platform mounds still standing in metropolitan Phoenix, the other being Pueblo Grande across the river. It was listed on the National Register in 1978 and is now known by its O'odham name, Sce:dagĭ Mu:val Va'aki.
That was 1 of the hidden places.
