The Lynwood Dairy and Creamery gave its name to the Pacific Electric stop that served it, and the stop then gave its name to the town that grew around the tracks. Lynwood incorporated in 1921 on former dairy and bean land between Compton and South Gate. About 67,000 people now live in a city named after a milk plant.
That was 1 of the hidden places.
