Four Peaks brews Kilt Lifter in Tempe's old Borden creamery
1996
Tempe, Arizona
Three founders took over the brick Borden Company creamery and ice factory on Eighth Street and opened Four Peaks to the public in December 1996. The building had spent decades making ice and milk for the East Valley before it made a drop of beer. Anheuser-Busch InBev bought the company in December 2015, and the original brewpub still runs out of the creamery.
That was 1 of the hidden places.
