Lake Waxahachie is the reservoir the town built for itself
1956
Waxahachie, Texas
Ellis County Water Control and Improvement District Number One finished this 656 acre reservoir on South Prong Creek in 1956, a couple of miles south of town, to supply Waxahachie with municipal and industrial water. It is small by Texas standards and locally owned rather than a federal flood control project. Waxahachie Creek runs past its eastern edge on its way to Lake Bardwell.
That was 1 of the hidden places.
