Jamaica Center for Arts and one of the city's last sidewalk clocks
1904

The arts centre took over the 1904 Queens Register of Titles and Deeds Building in 1972, part of a deliberate attempt to stop downtown Jamaica sliding after the department stores left. It now runs a gallery, a 99 seat theatre and studios for about 28,000 people a year. Bolted to the pavement outside is one of only two cast iron sidewalk clocks still standing in New York City.
That was 1 of the hidden places.
