Hunts Point, a town of 457 people on a peninsula

Leigh S. J. Hunt, who owned the Seattle Post-Intelligencer between 1886 and 1894, bought up much of this shore in the 1880s and the peninsula kept his name. It stayed farmland well into the twentieth century. The town incorporated in 1955, when county services were falling behind and neighbouring Bellevue had just become a city. It counted 457 residents at the 2020 census.
