Glenn Heights incorporates to keep DeSoto off a trailer park
1969
Glenn Heights, Texas
N. L. Craddock, a Dallas firefighter, opened a thirty acre mobile home park out here in the 1960s and then pushed the surrounding area to incorporate so that DeSoto could not annex his business. Glenn Heights became a city on 16 September 1969 and Craddock sat on its council through the 1970s and 1980s. It has gone from about a thousand people in 1980 to nearly sixteen thousand, split across the Dallas and Ellis county line.
That was 1 of the hidden places.
