James Gamble Rogers built Northwestern's Collegiate Gothic library in Lannon stone after King's College Chapel at Cambridge, and it opened in 1933. It served as the university's main library until the modern one went up beside it in 1970. It now holds the university archives, the music library and special collections. The money came from Charles Deering, chairman of International Harvester.
That was 1 of the hidden places.
