Corral City incorporates to get around the county's liquor laws
1973
Corral City, Texas
The town was created in 1973 so that alcohol could be sold on ground the dry parts of Denton County could not reach. Thirty three people lived there at the 2020 census, and it pays Argyle to provide its police, fire and court services. It renamed itself Draper in 2016 after a former mayor, then changed back four years later on the grounds that the old name sounded more like Texas.
That was 1 of the hidden places.
