Carrollcliffe, the castle on Millionaires' Row
1897
Tarrytown, New York

Built in two stages in 1897 and 1910 to look like a European castle, Carrollcliffe sits on a hilltop above the Hudson and its stone towers still dominate the local skyline. It belongs to the run of estates known as Westchester's Millionaires' Row. Tarrytown made it a village landmark in 1981 and it has since run as a hotel under several names, including the Castle at Tarrytown.
