The Hudson River Museum and the Glenview mansion
1877
Yonkers, New York

Westchester's largest museum sits in Trevor Park on the Yonkers riverbank, built out from Glenview, an 1877 house left from the years when this stretch of bluff held one estate after another. The collection is strongest in Hudson River School painting, but the galleries also cover regional history and science. It runs the only public planetarium in the county.
That was 1 of the hidden places.
