Reynolds Nature Preserve, Morrow, Georgia
Public domain · Wikimedia Commons
William Huie Reynolds, a judge and self taught naturalist, spent decades buying up woods and wetland south of Atlanta as his own private preserve. In 1976 he handed 130 acres to Clayton County with the condition that it stay undeveloped in perpetuity. The preserve now runs to 146 acres and includes a farm dating from the Civil War era.
That was 1 of the hidden places.
