Cleveland's rapid transit reached West 117th and Madison in August 1955 and then pushed another 1.84 miles west in November 1958, adding Triskett and this station, first signed as West 143rd and Lorain. It was the western end of the line for ten years. The headhouse connects to the platforms through a tunnel under the westbound track.
That was 1 of the hidden places.
