West Arlington station, the Greenwood Lake stop that closed in 1966

West Arlington opened on the first day of 1873, one of two Kearny stops on the Erie Railroad's New York and Greenwood Lake line, with a wooden depot on each of its two platforms. A two storey signal tower went up in 1914 to work the swing bridge over the Passaic just west of the station. The Erie ran it until 1960 and the Erie Lackawanna until the end, and the last train called on 30 September 1966. The Arlington section of Kearny still carries the name of the railroad stop.
That was 1 of the hidden places.
