Third Presbyterian Church, listed on the National Register and then burned
1872
Chester, Pennsylvania

Isaac Pursell designed this stone Gothic Revival church at Ninth and Potter for a congregation founded in 1872, and the country's first summer bible school was held in it in 1912. The congregation closed in 1986 and the Chester Historical Preservation Committee took the building on. It was finally listed on the National Register in November 2019 and gutted by a five alarm fire six months later.
That was 1 of the hidden places.
