The Sewickley Bridge, built by the company that built Ambridge
1981
Sewickley, PA
CC0 · Wikimedia Commons
This continuous steel truss opened in October 1981, carrying traffic between Sewickley and Moon Township across the Ohio. It was fabricated by the American Bridge Company, whose plant sat a few miles upriver at the town it named after itself. The span it replaced had stood since 1911 and was one of the longer cantilever crossings in the country.
That was 1 of the hidden places.
