The Monster Mile at Dover
Dover Motor Speedway, Delaware
Dough4872 · CC BY-SA 3.0 · Wikimedia Commons
A one mile concrete oval with twenty-four degree banking, hard on cars and harder on brakes, which is where the nickname comes from. It was built inside a horse racing track and for years the two shared the property, so a thoroughbred meeting and a stock car race could happen on the same afternoon.
That was 1 of the hidden places.
