The Chicago Motor Speedway lasts three seasons inside a horse track
1999
Cicero, Illinois
Chip Ganassi and his partners laid a one mile oval inside the Sportsman's Park horse track in 1999 and ran CART cars and NASCAR trucks on it. The plan was that thoroughbreds and race cars could share the same plot of Cicero ground and the same grandstand. It did not pay. The track suspended operations in 2002 after three seasons.
That was 1 of the hidden places.
