Works Progress Administration crews put up this activity hall between 1936 and 1939, building it out of adobe rather than the concrete going up elsewhere on campus. It is the biggest adobe structure the WPA raised anywhere in Arizona. The National Register listed it in 1985, ahead of the usual fifty year wait, on the grounds of exceptional merit.
That was 1 of the hidden places.
