Joliet's YMCA started in 1882 and lost its first building on Clinton Street in 1901, sold off to cover the debts. The 1920s brought a second attempt, and in 1928 the Burnham Brothers put up this Georgian Revival block on Ottawa Street. It joined the National Register in 2006.
