The Highland Park apartment row that burned down to one building
1925
Highland Park, Michigan

Richard H. Marr designed a row of apartment buildings along West McNichols in the 1920s, and they became the most sought after addresses in Highland Park, taken by doctors, shop owners and company managers. Three of the original five survived to be listed on the National Register in 1992. Two of those three, the Fairway and the Douglas, were badly burned and came down later that decade, leaving the Georgian standing on its own.
That was 1 of the hidden places.
