The Hyatt Regency Dearborn, 773 rooms and finally condemned
1976
Dearborn, Michigan

The fourteen storey hotel opened in 1976 with a revolving restaurant on the roof, a helipad and a people mover running to the mall. For years it was the second largest hotel in Michigan after the Marriott in the Renaissance Center. It went through a run of owners and names, becoming the Adoba, then the Royal Dearborn, then the Edward, and in December 2018 the city condemned it as unfit for occupancy and closed it.
That was 1 of the hidden places.
