The Highland Park Chrysler plant, where the Airflow was shaped in a wind tunnel
1928
Highland Park, Michigan
The site started as a Brush Motor Car Company factory and came to Chrysler through a chain of takeovers. From 1928 it was the company's headquarters and research campus, with a wind tunnel on the grounds that was used to work out the shape of the 1934 Airflow and later the Turbine Car. Chrysler ran the place until 1996, when it moved everything to Auburn Hills.
That was 1 of the hidden places.
