The Hialeah transfer where two rail systems finally meet
1989
Hialeah, Florida

South Florida runs two separate passenger railways, and Hialeah is where they were bolted together. This station opened in March 1989 so that Tri-Rail riders coming down from Broward and Palm Beach could step across to Miami's Metrorail. The Amtrak platform sits a few blocks away and has never been formally joined to it.
That was 1 of the hidden places.
