Florida's transport department spent about two billion dollars building a set of connections on the east side of Miami International. The Rental Car Center opened in July 2010 and pulled every rental company at the airport into one garage with room for 10,000 cars, reached by an automated people mover that began running in 2011. Miami Central Station, where Tri-Rail, Metrorail, Metrobus and intercity coaches meet, opened to the public in 2015.
