The Dutch Reformed congregation on this stretch of the ridge put up its church on Edgewater Avenue in 1793, in a district long known as the English Neighborhood. It is one of the oldest buildings standing anywhere in the ring behind the cliffs, older than every town line drawn around it. It went on the National Register of Historic Places on 18 September 1998.
That was 1 of the hidden places.
