The Camden Free Public Library, a Carnegie library left to rot
1905
Camden, New Jersey

Andrew Carnegie's money paid for this main library, which opened in 1905 to designs by Herbert Hale and Henry Morse. The system moved its main branch out in 1986 and the building was left to decay. Camden's library system later shrank so far that the county took it over to keep any branches open at all.
That was 1 of the hidden places.
