Having decided a rich man dying rich dies disgraced, Carnegie gave away roughly 90 percent of his fortune and paid for 2,509 libraries. The Pittsburgh complex he built himself holds a museum, a music hall and the dinosaur hall where Diplodocus carnegii was named after him.
