The Braddock Carnegie Library, the first one Carnegie built in America

Andrew Carnegie built his first American library next to his first steel mill rather than in a university town. It was listed on the National Register in 1973 and named a National Historic Landmark in 2012, and it also sits on the Pittsburgh History and Landmarks Foundation list. Braddock lost most of its population and nearly all of its business district in the decades after the mills contracted, and the library stayed open through it.
That was 1 of the hidden places.
