The Battle of Barren Hill, where Lafayette slipped the trap
1778
Barren Hill, Lafayette Hill, Pennsylvania
Public domain · Wikimedia Commons
Lafayette left Valley Forge on 18 May 1778 with about 2,400 men and five guns and took position at Barren Hill, close to Matson's Ford. A British column of roughly five thousand moved through the night of 19 May to close around him. The militia posted on one road scattered without warning anybody, but Lafayette pulled his force down a sunken road the British did not know existed and got clear with light losses. The place is now called Lafayette Hill.
That was 1 of the hidden places.
