The Aurora Fox, a movie house inside an Army quonset hut
1946

Aurora went through the Depression and the war without a cinema of its own. What it finally got in October 1946 was a surplus Army quonset hut with an Art Moderne front block and a 61 foot neon sign bolted to East Colfax, seating 650. Fire gutted the building in November 1981, and the city, local companies and civic groups spent two years putting it back together as a working theater that reopened in 1985.
That was 1 of the hidden places.
