St. Thomas the Apostle, listed on the National Register the year its parish closed
1923
Detroit, Michigan
A Polish parish started here in 1914 at the outer edge of Detroit's east side Polish neighbourhoods and built a Romanesque church with Art Deco detailing in the 1920s. The parish closed in 1989, the same year the church went onto the National Register of Historic Places. The building was demolished in 1993, and the Register got round to striking it off the list in 2024.
That was 1 of the hidden places.
