Julia Morgan built this wooden church on College Avenue in the First Bay Tradition style, wrapped in the shingle finish Berkeley made its own. The congregation moved to a new building in 1974 and this one was desanctified and sold. It became the Julia Morgan Theater and now houses the Berkeley Playhouse, and it went on the National Register in 1975.
That was 1 of the hidden places.
