1907
Sardis, Texas
Allen Roe was farming here by 1855. The post office opened in November 1886 as Hurley Station, became Saralvo in 1888, and finally settled on Sardis in 1907. The community sits on US 287 and the old Southern Pacific line northwest of Waxahachie and never incorporated.
That was 1 of the hidden places.
