Isaac Hinckley, president of the Philadelphia, Wilmington and Baltimore Railroad, bought up farms here around 1870 and platted a commuter suburb along his own line. The station sits at Hinckley and Morton Avenues, its one storey station house built into the embankment beside the platform. SEPTA's Wilmington and Newark trains stop here, while Amtrak runs past on the same Northeast Corridor tracks without stopping.
That was 1 of the hidden places.
