Prince's and the invention of hot chicken

The family story is that Thornton Prince came home late once too often and a woman in his life fried him chicken loaded with cayenne as revenge. He liked it, worked out the recipe, and opened a shack. His great-niece ran it for decades, and the dish went from a Black North Nashville speciality to the thing the city is known for outside music.
That was 1 of the hidden places.
