Pacific Boulevard, the shopping street that outgrew its city
1946
Huntington Park, California
Pacific Boulevard runs from Vernon down through Huntington Park to Walnut Park, and its shops make up the third highest grossing commercial district in Los Angeles County. The Christmas Lane Parade has come down it every year since 1946 and was televised across the United States and into Europe. The Carnaval Primavera each spring draws as many as 300,000 people to the same few blocks.
That was 1 of the hidden places.
