New Mt. Moriah, the Highland Park church built at the top of the boom

Highland Park, Michigan

Highland Park went from roughly 400 people in 1900 to more than 46,000 by 1920, and the congregations that arrived with the Ford payroll built to match. This Gothic Revival church went up on Woodward in 1922 as Trinity United Methodist. It later became New Mt. Moriah Baptist Church, and it was added to the National Register in 1982.
That was 1 of the hidden places.
